which district to stay

Hi guys, travelling to Paris for first time with my wife. Latin quarter or Marais. Want to take in the sights and party a bit at night. please help

We stayed in the 1st by the Louvre, but I would recommend the LQ over Marais. It%26#39;s lively, convenient, and more centrally located to sightsee. T

We were in Paris last November. Stay in the Latin Quarter.

This is where the fun is. Walk to Notre Dame. Great sidewalk cafes and lively at night. Go to Shakesphere and Company - a really old bookstore in the Latin Quarter. See the website. It was GREAT. We stayed at Hotel De Notre Dame. It was down a little alley. Walking distance to Notre Dame. It was small and great.

Caution: We went in November when it is cold. I do not know if our hotel has air conditioning, but I%26#39;ve heard that a lot of the hotels do not. Be sure that they do.

The big highlight of our trip, I know this does not sound romantic, but it was wonderful, and yes romantic in a way, Go to the Pere La Chaise (might be spelled wrong) Cemetary. This is where Jim Morrison of the Doors is buried. It is a wonderful old old cemetary.

Should not be missed.
