Best route to drive to Morzine

What would be the best route to drive from Friedrichshafen, Germany (Lake Constance) to Morzine? Thanks for any help.

Well hello there Zappers.Don%26#39;t know much about driving in Germany and Switzerland but here is one way to consider.

Go south round Lake Constance through Lindau,Bregenz,St Gallen-----autobahn all the way to Zurich. Then Bern, Friboug.Come off motorway at Montreux and follow the road south and follow the road south through Chillon (fantastic chateau to visit) and Villeneuve and along the southern shores of Lac Leman.Go through St. Gingolph and Evian (well worth a stop) and at Thonon-les-Bains head inland on the D902.Follow through watching for signs to Morzine.

You will need a %26quot;vignette%26quot; a disc to attach to window permitting you to use the Swiss autoroutes. The road around Lac Leman (Geneva) is non autoroute so will be toll free. The last time we bought a vignette (2yrs ago)it cost 40 Swiss francs.

Hope this is of some help---this is normally Bob%26#39;s department. He plans the route and I just navigate.

Cheers, Val
