Try this web site; you%26#39;ll find an entry for the Paris Temple, as well as a whole lot of other useful information.

I don%26#39;t think the Knights Templar have anything to do with the Paris catacombs.
For Paris history, go to the subterranean floor of the Louvre, where you can see the original walls. Beneath Notre-Dame are the ruins of early medieval Paris, and you can see Roman ruins at Les Thermes (Cluny Museum).
I%26#39;m not quite clear about what you%26#39;re after--can you expand your question?

My wife and I like the OLD and UNSEEN.

The Prieure du Notre Dame du Sion, or Priory of Zion, is said to be the cabal behind many of the events that occurred at Rennes-le-Chateau. According to the Prieure%26#39;s own documents, its history is long and convoluted. Its earliest roots are in some sort of Hermetic or Gnostic society led by a man named Ormus. This individual is said to have reconciled paganism and Christianity. The story of Sion only comes into focus in the Middle Ages.
In 1070, a group of monks from Calabria, Italy, led by one Prince Ursus, founded the Abbey of Orval in France near Stenay, in the Ardennes.
Here is a good Idea...

I assume you%26#39;ve read The DaVinci code?

Temples : there is no real evidence of a temple in Paris, apart a Roman temple from the forum (nothing left, apart a wall in the underground car park at Luxembourg).Templar : the old tower from the time of the Templars was destroyed by order of Napoleon, as it was Louis XVI %26#39;s last residence before his death, Napoleon didn%26#39;t want it to become a pilgrimage place for the royalists. It used to be at Square du Temple. Historic places? There are too many to mention here, can you narrow down your question?
As for creepy, you have museums about medicine in Paris, where you have all kind of disgusting things...

Raphy,
Can you elaborate on this...
%26quot;As for creepy, you have museums about medicine in Paris, where you have all kind of disgusting things%26quot;
That sounds FUN...

You have the Musée du service de santé du Val de Grace which i visited last year, with examples of faces mutilated by explosions of the WWI, i found it quite moving but you can find it creepy. What is creepier is the museum on rue de l%26#39;ecole de Médecine, inside the university, i don%26#39;t recall the exact name but you have to cross a few corridors and go up if i recall well, you had a lot of strange utensils used for medicine.

raphy, that reminds me of the movie %26#39;dead ringers%26#39; starring jeremy irons.....he and his identical twin brother are gynecologists and believe that there female patient%26#39;s private parts are mutating so they invent this horrific %26#39;tools%26#39; and ..... well, rent it and see. it%26#39;s quite disturbing.

If you want non-creepy pagan, then the Musee de Cluny has one of the few examples of the Horned God %26quot;Cernunnos%26quot; on the Pillar des Nautes.
Rhiannon
(a non-creepy Pagan ;o) )

I think the original poster is projecting anglo-saxon %26quot;New age%26quot; concepts on a city which doesn%26#39;t have this type of tradition. There are even no French words for %26quot;creepy%26quot; or %26quot;creepyness%26quot;!
The Templars did have an estate in Paris, until the revolution, but, as a previous poster noted, there is nothing left of it.
However, there is some litterature, in French only I am afraid, about %26quot;mysterous Paris%26quot; (Guide du Paris mystérieux), or the symbolism of some monuments, such as Notre-Dame.
