Rock/alternative clubs in Paris

Hi!

My boyfriend and I will stay in Paris for two weeks, in Quartier Latin. We prefer rock music (Placebo, David Bowie, Depeche mode, Smashing Pumpkins, Franz Ferdinand etc..) so we would be very grateful if someone could recommend us some good rock clubs, bars or other alternative places where we could go out. We%26#39;re 25 and 28 years old.

Thank you very much!!!

Le Queen but not sure what night...It%26#39;s a great place....

See this site for night clubs/bars. It also has pics of the people and places and music type per day. Look and see if the places are for you:

By the way, some places are selective of who they let in.

Hope this helps.

Le Queen might have been trendy 15 years ago. Now it%26#39;s a tacky tourist oriented club on the Champs Elysées playing cheap Eurodance music.

Good music clubs could be the following (sorry, I am not providing the exact address, please look them up on the net):

La Batobus (13th,a barge in front of the National Library)

La Scène Bastille (11th)

Le Nouveau Casino (Oberkampf, 11th,used to be the cradle of the punk movement in Paris, now more tame but still interesting)

Le Gibus (République, 11th)

For concerts: Divan du Monde (18th), Canal Opus (10th)

Le Tryptique (grands boulevards, 2nd)

Chez Carmen is a unique, late late (best from 3am onwards) place

Have fun!
