Bastille to Porte Maillot...recommended ways to get there?

Hi,

We have to fly from Beauvais at 2245pm (not until Aug 9th), and I read that we should be on the bus at least 3 hours before. My question is this, What%26#39;s the best way to get to Porte Maillot from Bastille (11th Arr) at that time of day, and how far (time/distance is it)?

There will be 2 of us, medium sized luggage FYI.

The tips on the forum have been really useful in planning the trip!

Métro Line 1. Should not take more than 30-35 minutes, from your stepping off the hotel to your arrival at the bus station. Distance is about 7 km.

Mind the gap at Bastille métro station !

An alternative way would be to take the métro from Bastille to Gare du Nord (direct, much shorter and quicker than going to Porte Maillot, I would say 15-20 mn), hop on the 19h55 to Beauvais, arrive at Beauvais station 21h14, then it%26#39;s a 10 mn, € 10 ride by taxi to the airport. Personally I would prefer this solution:

1) It%26#39;s better to ride on a train than a bus

2) The métro ride is shorter

3) The Paris-Beauvais ride is shorter

4) You won%26#39;t have to put up with the Ryanair hordes at Porte Maillot

Well, a normal train, from the surface station, that goes to %26quot;Beauvais%26quot;.
