Many hotels are named Hotel Louvre : Hotel Louvre Rivoli, Hotel Louvre Saint Romain, Hotel Louvre Rivoli, etc...
Which one is yours, that will help us to locate it and to tell you how exactly to get there.

Sorry - I am staying at Hotel du Lourve, right across from the museum.

Take the Roissy bus to Opera and roll your suitcase down avenue de l%26#39;Opera. The hotel du Louvre is at the end of that avenue, a pleasand and beautiful way to get introduced to Paris.
If you want to suffer, you take RER B to Chatelet, change to RER C to Auber, then take metro line 7 to Palais Royal - Musee du Louvre.
You will walk more underground than outside and you will see nothing.
Roissy bus stops at each terminal. costs about 9 Euros and is non stop to Opera (Palais Garnier).

I would do as La Photographe said : Prefer the Roissy BuS.

Hawaii99 - Can you post a report on the hotel when you get back?? I have stayed there twice and really liked it and am considering it again...its been 6 years since the last time. I would like to find out if the breakfast buffet is always included in the hotel price...it was before and it is difficult to tell on their website. You will love the location...just hop across the little street and you are right in the center of the Louvre courtyard. We loved just sitting by the fountains on the warm summer evenings...with the Pryamid lit up and just people watching...

Is there a sign at the airport specifically for the Roisy Bus?? Do I catch it outside of baggage claim??. I am coming to Paris alone in November and that may be a good way for me to get to the hotel as well unless I share a cab with someone.

KG, I actually stayed in Hotel Du Lourve last November. We took a taxi in to the City from the airport and the price was a bit steep. I thought we could try the Rossibus or RER as everyone says it is pretty easy. The hotel is wonderful. Very conveniently located in the center of the city. The room we had last year was nice and clean. The vacation package did not include breakfast buffet though. The hotel has a computer room and a fitness center, all were kept very neat.
I have heard August can be quiet hot in Paris but looking at the weather.com, it is in the mid 70s and some passing rain. Hopefully it won%26#39;t damper oiur events. I will definitely write more when I get back.
I have the same question about Rossibus pickup? Anyone??

From the Roissy stop you can take the 81 city bus if you don%26#39;t feel like walking [direction Chatalet].

We were there in August a few years ago...weather was hot but ok...we just slowed down a bit compared to a winter trip. Everything that we cared to see was open and by the time we got there a lot of Americans had gone home to get ready for school. One thing I liked about the Hotel Du Louvre were the toiletres..sounds trivial but they were Anick Goutel...sold here at Saks....I wonder if they still have those....Did you pay for the hotel breakfast...when we were there it was very good and lasted us all day!
