Hi all.. I have a few names of hotels that I am thinking of staying at. The hotels listed below are ones which I get 50% off so thats why I chose them. I am hoping that with your help and experience at any of these I might be able to chose the best hotel. I want to be in the area whith bars, cafes and restaurants.. Lively and fun....Here is my list.. Any info will help.. thanks...
Jardin De L%26#39;odeon
Best Western Le Jardin De Cluny
Hotel Jardins de Paris Saint Germain
Hotel Observatoire Luxemburg
Academie Hotel St Germain
Best Western Aramis Hotel Saint Germain
Any of these not near the area I want please let me know.. I will eliminate them too... Thanks again...

If you want to get the attention from the local %26quot;experts%26quot;, I would advise you to enter another post but this time use their names
like for example %26quot;question for LondonBob, Underhill, etc.%26quot;
I wish I could help you, but I was in Nice for only 2 days, I don%26#39;t know where any of these hotels were. If you don%26#39;t get any responses, do a search, read as many posts as you can in the Nice Forum, and go from there. Good luck!!

Best Western Aramis is right in the Middle of the Blvd Saint Germain cafes and restaurants and the Blvd Montparnasse cafes and restaurants.
It is the only hotel I am familiar with on your list.
|||
thank you, I will keep the Aramis in mind then, and wait until a local expert hopefully answers.

I%26#39;ve stayed at the Best Western Le Jardin de Cluny a couple of times. The location is fantastic.
|||
Thanks I have put stars next to the two best westerns.. Is there also shops and boutiques where the restaurants and cafes are?
Thanks again all of you...

Lisa--If you want to get an idea of what the neighborhoods of these hotels are like, look up their addresses and go to this website:
http://www.pagesjaunes.fr/pj.cgi?lang=en
When you find the correct hotel, click on %26quot;photo%26quot; and use the yellow arrows in that new window to take a virtual walk up and down the street. I think most of the photos were taken early in the morning before things open up, so you obviously won%26#39;t be able to judge the night life, but you can get an idea of whether there are lots of cafes, etc. in the area.

I think the Observatoire, while a nice hotel, is probably a bit south of the area you would want (closer to Port Royal)..
