We%26#39;re staying in La Garde Freinet and will not have internet access at our lodging. Does anyone know if there are internet cafes in that town? what%26#39;s the best way to get on the net as we take day trips to St. Tropez and other directions? My family will not permit me much time anywhere for this!!!

Sue,
While I cannot comment with certitude about specific internet availability in or around St. Tropez , you may refer to some of the following addresses which may be helpful:

Many McDonald%26#39;s have free hotspots available during the week (I have found they may not work on the weekend). Of course the bulk of this information is for those traveling with laptops. If you do not have a laptop, the Office of Tourisme in any city you might find yourself can direct you to the closest internet point/cafe.

Thanks. I%26#39;ll have my laptop but I don%26#39;t have a wifi account on any of those services....I would assume there are internet cafes all over the place, right? I haven%26#39;t travelled to such a rural area since the internet became a way of life. We are struggling to do all our research on things to do before we get there, as we are used to having immediate access to the net at home!

Sue,
It is a rural area. There are only 2 internet cafes that I know of in town. Best deal is to buy 5 hours for 25 euros. Free WiFi only in top end hotels.

Great, thanks.
