Where are some good wine shops (with good prices of course) in Paris, or even Reims? I%26#39;m hoping to buy some Champagne and I%26#39;ve read the less known houses have great deals on really good Champage. I%26#39;ve also read the Champagne that you get here like Mumms and Moet is the same price wheather you buy it here or in France, is that true?

The prices for champagne are very similar to what we pay in the States. Nicholas is the largest chain of caves in Paris and they have a reliable selection of wines, without being anything too fussy. They also have a wine bar/tasting room above their shop on place de la Madeleine. I prefer the smaller neighborhood cavistes that will have a more interesting, if smaller, selection.

Try Chateau Cash %26amp; Carry. It%26#39;s a big wine selling store in Saint Denis, where you can get the best prices in Paris, for very good wines.
Address : 137, avenue du président Wilson 93210 Saint-Denis (near Porte de la Chapelle) Tel : +33 (0)1 55 93 40 90

Here%26#39;s a curious fact for our French friends. In Kentucky, all liquor stores have drive-through windows. You pull up to the window in your car, a clerk leans out to take your order, and then brings your alcohol directly to you. Very convenient, especially in the dark of night when one is too young to purchase alcohol (not that I ever did that, mind you!)

We have the same drive through in Florida also, but they card you if you look underage.

La Derniere Goutte: Local wine shop owned by an American named Juan from Miami. His selection consists of small wineries who export very little. He has some amazing wine at affordable prices. 6 Rue de Boubon Le Chateau. 01-43-29-11-62.
Located in St. Germain. Very cool part of Paris. He also owns a great restaurant called Fish. Had a great meal there my last time in Paris.

We had drive-through windows at the liquor store when I was growing up in Georgia, too. I think they still have them.
The grocery stores in Paris also sell wine, and it%26#39;s quite cheap. I%26#39;m still kicking myself for not buying a few bottles for 5 or 6 euros each and bringing them back.
The advantage of going to a store like Nicolas, though, is that they can give you advice on what to buy.
