Taking cheese to France.

I would like to take some english cheese to France as a gift for someone. Would I be breaking the law? Is there still a problem after the foot and mouth outbreak two years ago? Or would it be ok?

We have taken Irish Milk to France for the last couple of years (My kids don%26#39;t like French Milk). We kept it in a plug in cooler box in the car and it was fine. We didn%26#39;t have any problems at customs and are/were not aware of any limitations.

I assume Milk and Cheese would be bound by similar regulations.

Do make sure that you keep the cheese chilled.
