What time of year would you suggest going? I%26#39;m tying to work London into this trip too.

April was still cold this year.I heard September is best.
|||
I am hoping the September 2 - September 16 2006 is a superb time to visit.
|||
This might be a silly question but when is it really cold there?
|||
For the last 4 years I have been in Paris in July - desperately and succesfully trying to avoid rain - but it has been so terribly hot (at least for a person from Northern Europe like myself) that it is really not very nice or comfortable. Sweat pours down your body incessantly - and makes sleeping at night difficult if your don%26#39;t have a/c.
So unless you are used to steaming-hot (and maybe you are ??) then July is not recommendable.

I%26#39;d second Gitte%26#39;s comment re July. I%26#39;m from Australia and we have summers that are plenty hot, but the heat in Paris is quite different - unexpectedly humid, and stayed that way well into the night. Thank goodness for hotel rooms with big windows and fans!

Winter and springtime will be cold and drizzly although you may get some sunny days yet the temperatures will be brisk. If you like warm weather fall (Sept./October) is nice although you may encounter some rain here and there. For absolutely hot temperatures July and August are good months. Again expect some rain. In fact, rain is a possibility yearround in Paris.

Btw, I find that January through March to be the coldest months. When we visited in December %26#39;04 it was not as cold as I thought it would be although others do find December to be quite cold. I guess it varies.

My favorite times are second half of September or in the winter time. Airfares are usually lower at these times too. I think the weather in September is very nice with plenty of sunshine.
Neither Paris or London have many air conditioning amenities so cooler times of the year also make it easier to get good lodging.

I%26#39;ve been to Paris many times -- usually in June. My favorite trip was in February. It was cold, but sunny. The tourist population was manageable. And I could really savor all the delicious meals (unlike in the hotter months!
