We will be staying in Frejus this August and have been recommended to catch the train from Frejus to Nice, Cannes Monaco etc etc rather than drive.
Can anyone advise on the cost of a typical journey for an adult and child as well as what age range do the French offer child fares for?
Any other advice on rail trips across the area would be much welcomed.

Hi,
You should be able to find fares and details at the following web site:
This is the English version of the French railways website.

Some general advice on rail and other forms of travel around the eastern Riviera - four years of painful learning - here on my VT pages A bit Nice-orienteted but much applies generically

Also some tips on what to see and where to go thrown in. Plus bonus - a number of warnings and dangers!.
Cheers

Many thanks to both of you for this advice. I especially liked Nicelife%26#39;s VT notes.
Couldn%26#39;t seem to get the basic ticket advice in English - both versions on the left of the page default to French. Any other ideas on how I can get the info in English?

Do a search here for MorganB%26#39;s guide to French railways. Invaluable!
