Hi, can any one help - we are leaving Paris to go to Murren on the 26th September a family of 4, 2 adults and 2 children ages 10 and 12 years. I know how to get there but my question is can I simply go to the Gare de Lyon station 4 days in advance and book our tickets at the station and have know problems. Living in Australia I can not pre order my tickets through the net on the SBB site, yes I can go to a travel agent but unfortunately I seem to know more about the train travel in Europe then them (which isn%26#39;t much).
Does anyone know the cost of the trip by doing it this way and will we have problems getting seats? As Paris to Murren and Murren to Venice is our only train trips buying a eurail pass seems more expensive.
Any help and costs would be great.
Thanks

You can buy both tickets at the Gare de Lyon booking hall. It has international booths. When you enter the station, go left of the lettered platforms on the main concourse, and enter the nicely decorated ticket hall. The hall can get pretty crowded for peak departures, but 22th of September will be fine.
However, if you buy the Murren-Venice trip at GdL, you will only get the TCV fare (i.e. the regular international full fare, which skips any discounts the SBB may offer).
