Disneyland Paris in September 2006

Hi all you experienced visitors to Disneyland Paris. We%26#39;re 3 adults (parents + 18 year old) arriving for the first time from Australia in September. I was wondering what the queues would be like at that time of year? Also I%26#39;ve read all the posts about the very expensive and not very french food so I wondered if it is possible to leave the park (on foot or by public transport) to find a nice french restaurant for tea and then to return to the park later? Also what time does the park close in the summer? Thanks. Would be so grateful for any advice.

Disneyland Paris is ALWAYS busy. You can expect lengthy queues for most rides. The best place to eat is at the shopping centre at Val d%26#39;Europe (1 stop away on RER line) but you can%26#39;t really call it %26quot;nice french food%26quot;, its more American style bistros. Best way to get the Paris experience is to take the 40 minute RER ride into central Paris (just avoid the rush hours). Food inside Disneyland is pretty useless - Disney village isn%26#39;t much better - its all very expensive. The Val d%26#39;Europe centre is your best bet.

Actually Disney is not busy year round. The park can be decidedly empty at times. I have been in November where you can just walk on all the rides. September should not be so bad as it is after the holiday season here. Avoid weekends and Wednesdays if possible. The park closes at 8 pm starting on the 4th of September. As far as food is concerned, Val d%26#39;Europe is about it as suggested by the previous poster. I agree that going into Paris would be your best option if you want a really nice meal. Do some reasearch and select a restaurant before hand if you decide to do that.

Well, I last went in October and it was heaving. I suppose UK public holidays make it busier, i.e more toursits!

Yes is very popular for the UK holidays.

Hi, I went to Disneyland Paris last September. The queues weren%26#39;t too bad. The night time parade finishes at the end of August but the day time one is excellent. We ate in the Disney Village most nights, most of our meals were very good value for money.
