We are arriving in Paris from Bayeux in Normandy, at Gare St Lazare, and are staying in the Rue Cler area. We will leave from Charles de Gaulle airport.
Can anyone recommend the best and safest (after reading about all the pickpockets!!) way to get to/from Rue Cler?
Merci!

If travelling with a lot of luggage taxi is best. Metro/RER is not luggage friendly. Just back from Paris %26amp; I felt safer there than in Dublin %26amp; no sign of pickpockets but loads of cops.

only fools who leave stuff in outer pockets or travel with too much stuff have to fear pick pockets
just take the RER in -- and then the metro to the Rue Cler area (check the map on the wall for the precise connection which is also available on line)
if there are several of you, it may be cost effective to take a taxi and if you have lots of luggage that is also easier

I think that all of you who are so afraid should just take taxis everywhere.It%26#39;s the safest way to avoid pickpockets, of course, then you have to worry about whether the taxi driver will kidnap you, but nothing%26#39;s perfect.

Thanks for the response. There will be three of us, with luggage, so taxi sounds like the way to go. And I%26#39;ll watch out for those kidnapper taxi drivers... I should be able to spot them.
Merci!
