Self-catering recommendations

Hi there, what a great forum - hopefully you can help me out too! I%26#39;m flying into Nantes 2nd week of August and want to find some self-catering accommodation for 3 people in the region. I have a 13 year old son who loves being active and needs to be kept amused so I%26#39;m hoping for somewhere with a pool, tennis, other kids (but not too many ;-) etc. and we%26#39;d all like to do some cycling so bike hire nearby would be great. Us adults need to spend some time chilling out too, so BBQ facilities would be good. Any suggestions %26amp; recommendations would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance

You%26#39;d probably be more likely to get all your requirements, particularly for your son, if you stay on a campsite - eurocamp, keycamp, canvasholidays, etc all offer sites in the area, and some of their mobile homes are equivalent to cottages. You can also use their sites to identify campsites, then check the campsite website (if you see what I mean) to find out if they rent cottages.

Try this campsite. La Garangeoire in St Julien des Landes.

It is an excellent site with loads of sport facililites including volleyball, badminton, canoeing, table tennis, a football school and a beautiful pool.

It has a beautiful setting in the grounds of a chateau with an on site restuarant, bar, snug bar, games room etc.

You are about 10 minutes drive from a beautiful French secluded beach at Bretignolles.

The busy resort of St Jean de Montes is about a 25 minute drive away.

There are always loads of teenagers about for your son to mix with.

We have holidayed there with our own teenage grils for the last 3 years and love every minute.

The site itself rents out chalets %26amp; pitches if you have your own van or tent.
