Need suggestions for 13-hour layover at CDG Airport

Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced hotel near CDG with a shuttle, or suggest a short bus tour in Paris? My mother-in-law has a 13 hour layover and needs some options.

Hi. Would love to help but need more information. How much luggage, carry on luggage etc. will your mother-in-law have? At what time does she land? Is the 13 hours all day or over the evening and night? Is it on a weekday (which day cause Mondays lots of museums are closed) or a Saturday or Sunday? CDG is only 40 minutes from the center of Paris with no traffic, so that still leaves loads of time. Has she been to Paris before? If not, there are some obvious suggestions. Will your mother-in-law be landing at CdG after a long flight? That could make a difference about what she would want to do. Also, please give us your price range.

Thanks for the responses. No, she has never been to Paris before and is carrying only a small carry-on type suitcase. She will be arriving in the morning and her flight is not until almost midnight.
