La Taillevent

We%26#39;re off to Paris for our first time in September and are thinking about going to La Taillevent. Would anyone recommend this as a restaurant to push the boat out for?

You bet! It%26#39;s an excellent restaurant, and the owner is the consumate host.

Taillevent ! ! ! ! An excellent restaurant. You%26#39;ll have one of your most amazing dinner. But book early. I%26#39;m not sure you%26#39;ll get a table for september on a week end.

Is it best to email or telephone the restaurant? Our french isn%26#39;t fantastic although we are planning some lessons befoer we go.

|||

Faster to phone. They%26#39;ll be able to help you English.

You can also send a reservation request via email and M. Vrinat will reply personally and promptly.

Taillevent is definitely the choice! Have eaten at many Michelin 3-stars in France. Having been to Taillevent several times, no other restaurant comes close for food, ambience and the most gracious service.

You have got to go there at least once. We had a fantastic experience at the restaurant in April 2006. We were greeted by the owner, Mr Vrinat and the rest of the evening was surreal. We had gone to Paris to celebrate my wife%26#39;s 50th birtday and they did a special celebration just for her. The dishes were creative and delicious. Service was impeccable. Wine selection was broad, but all good. Cannot find any faults with the experience, in spite of the high prices.

This is a fabulous place to eat and enjoy France - we have eaten here three times and will return again - it is delightful and personal;. We had gone there just before 9/11 and about a month after the tragedy we received a letter from the owner expessing his suppoort.

each time we have returned the staff knows who we are and our preferences

Eh, I was underwhelmed with Taillevent. I pick either L%26#39;Espadon or Le Grand Vefour.
