A JEWEL- Italian Cheap Eat N Homemade Gelato 6th Arrond.!

Il Sorrentino 121, Rue de Sevres Metro Duroc Tel 01-43-06-79-43

In the 6th arrond. land of the chic boutiques and expensive restaurants lies a little jewel of a quick snack, pizza or ice cream/sorbet place. A great midday or early dinner stop. Pastas, salads and real Italian Pizza made in a real pizza oven by REAL ITALIANS! Francesco and his cousin from Josepina will make you feel right at home with typical Italian hospitality and warmth. There is a standing bar if you wish to eat there. Otherwise take it to go back to your hotel or flat. Everything is homemade. From the delicious fresh pastas with real basil pesto or tomato sauce to the fabulous sorbets (passion fruit, melon, lime and the richest dark chocolate ice cream i have ever tasted). In fact this lovely place puts Berthillon to shame! Their prices are 1/2 of Berthillon and their servings are enormous! If you drink wine, they sell bottles and half bottles of delicious Italian wine for as little as 7 euros. We had two pizzas 8 euros each (huge - we could have split 1), 1 half bottle of wine, 1 liter bottle of italian sparkling water, 1 sorbet to split all for 31 euros! This is a deal a terrific price for Paris. They also have luncheon deals for very little including 1 pasta, 1 drink, 1 desert and bread. Don%26#39;t miss this if you are shopping in the area by Le Bon Marche or Montparnasse. They are open from about 10 am or 11 am -8 pm

What toppings did you have on your pizza and you said it was huge, about how many inches?I am trying to figure out if it%26#39;s about the same price if i go to my neighborhood pizza restaurant and order the same thing including wine.

Is this a new location? PagesJaunes.fr lists an Asian-sounding name for that address, and shows Il Sorrentino as being located at 20 rue de Monttesuy in the 7th, close to the Eiffel...
