Going to other beaches from Nice

Hi,

Me and my friends are goin to Nice next week, but would prefer sand beaches to pebbles. Is it feasible to travel every day to sandy beaches, and which would be closer? Also if anyone knows any good bars and clubs for younger people let me know!!

Thanks!

You can take the train to Antibes, Juan-les-Pins, and Cannes, all of which have sandy public beaches. Antibes is the closest to Nice, but there%26#39;s really not that much difference among the three in terms of time. Villefranche-sur-Mer, east of Nice, would be another possibility.

Thankyou. Roughly how long would it take to get to these places, and which would you say is a nicer beach?

Villefranche is in a lovely bay, with some great bars and restaurants,

it is about 10 mins by train and costs 1.40 euro one way, or you could walk it in about an hour, some stunning views.

Sounds good, thank you for your help!

I wouldn%26#39;t classify Villefranche beach as sandy. Fine shingle perhaps, but it%26#39;s a lovely small town, %26amp; there are vicious rocks to cross on entering the water. I would recommend Juan les Pins as best sandy beach in the area.

Do not forget the Menton public beach next to the Old Town (accessible by train also)
