where to store five suitecases for few hours

We have to check out from rented apartment 9:30 am (Saturday) Our flight is leaving 9:00 pm. We have to be at Porte Maillot ( Beauvais Shuttle) 5:45 pm. Where could we store our 5 suitcases for that few hours. We can not leave them in apartment (next family is coming 11:00 am) We are in Paris 4 day so every hour counts.

I believe they have luggage storage at all of the train staions in paris.

Theoretically, the Gare Saint Lazare is closest to Porte Maillot - however, currently their luggage storage is closed (Vigipirate). The same for the Gare Montparnasse.

It seems that only the Gare du Nord, Gare de l%26#39; Est and Gare de Lyon currently have open luggage storage: http://www.paris.org/Gares/

As you%26#39;ll see, those stations are not the closest to Porte Maillot. However, the Gare de Lyon is on a direct metro line (1, direction Pont de Neuilly) to Porte Maillot; and may therefor be the most convenient for you.

There are often long queues (X-ray machine, checks) at the luggage depot, so count on losing some time there!

Would anybody know how much do they charge for storage at the station. Per day, per hr, per suitcase??

If your building has a concierge (about half of them still do), try to make friends with her, and she%26#39;ll be happy to store your luggage in her apartment, tiny though it might be. You could also %26quot;negotiate%26quot; with the landlord/next family to keep it in the apartment. I know that in their shoes I wouldn%26#39;t mind having 5 bags lying around for a few hours. But then they%26#39;ll have to be there when you collect them, etc. but why not. Any solution seems more hassle free than dragging the luggage to a station.

Ask the owner or manager of the apartment you%26#39;re renting. As owners, we ALWAYS make an effort to allow guests to deposit or leave their luggage for a few hours when there%26#39;s a rental overlap. It%26#39;s not that much trouble and a good owner/agency with personalized service should be able to accomodate your need.

I%26#39;m not about to guarantee the accuracy of the info on the SNCF site - once bitten, twice shy - but I suspect it is more current than the sites JanToo has referenced. In any case, SNCF claims that there are lockers at Gares d%26#39;Austerlitz, de Lyon, de Montparnasse and du Nord, but NOT at the other Paris stations. The cost, depending on size, is 4€, 7€ or 9€50 for up to 72 hours, and you will need the exact change for the lockers.

There are no manual %26quot;consignes%26quot; at any of the Paris stations.

Note: This information applies ONLY to the Paris stations. For anyone intertested, the few stations on the SNCF network outside Paris that have consignes have differing rates, etc.

But as Truffaut says, there is surely an easier solution to your problem...
