Could anybody recommend a small, romantic and old-fashioned hotel in Nice for a honeymoon? I have never been so have no idea and sometimes it%26#39;s difficult to tell from the reviews.

Two major questions: do you want to be along the Promenade des Anglais, right across from the Mediterranean, or does that matter; what is your hotel budget?

Take a look at the nearby post on the California%26#39;s Hotel in Cannes...very romantic and pretty

I guess the promenade sounds great! I would like to be fairly central really. BUdget, I guess mid range, not v cheap but not like 5 star either....
Thanks a milion!

Mid-range for hotels means different things to different people. It would be helpful to have the amount in Euros.

I guess not more than 200 euro for the room per night.

Welcom Hotel in nearby Villefranche sur Mer would fit the bill nicely I think.

Hi Katey, my fiance%26#39; and I recently stayed at the Hotel Suisse and absolutely loved it. I don%26#39;t know about old-fashioned but it was very romantic. It%26#39;s not too expensive and we had the most amazing view with a balcony that overlooked the sea and the Promenade de Anglais. A couple nights we just got some food to go and a bottle of wine and had a wonderful meal on our balcony. It was in walking distance of the flower market, old town and all sorts of restaurants. If you decided to book definitely ask for a sea view (otherwise you%26#39;d get stuck staring out at an alley).

Thanks a million guys, i%26#39;ve loads to go on now

At nearby Villefranche-sur-Mer (Nice 6kms) and an ideal base from which to explore arm-in-arm, you could try a small romantic Villa Hotel just re-opened. If you e-mail me alanpower@wanadoo.fr I can give you the address. Best Wishes for your future Happiness!
