I am looking for a seafront hotel and have found the Westminster Concorde and the Royal. Any comments about these hotels and can you suggest any others that are not too expensive. Thanks.

The Promenade des Anglais is lined with hotels; what is your price range? One you might consider is the Mercure Promenade des Anglais, located close to Vieux Nice. You probably know that the hotels are not actually attached to the beach--they sit behind the 4-lane Promenade.

Greetings Soqqy,
Locationwise, they are both terrific. They are though, quite different from one another. The Westminster Concorde is a four star charming old world hotel, with exceptional architecture, and old world charm. The Royal doesn%26#39;t quite measure up to the same standards, with far less amenities. Of course the price of rooms will reflect the difference. Figure about 200 Euros for the first, with a sea view, and about 140 Euros for the second. Be aware, that with a sea view, there is the noise factor from the much trafficked Promenade des Anglais, but on higher floors, it is not that apparent.
You are located close to just about everything that%26#39;s going on in Nice, and in walking distance. Of course, rates would vary from month to month. Enjoy!

I have seen messages on other travel sites that the Westminster is continuing to renovate the rooms, and the older ones can be disappointing.
