Any restaurant recommendations for Sarlat?
We are staying ehre for 2 weeks arriving Saturday so have plenty of time to try them all out.
A variety of different priced establishments would be good as we don%26#39;t want to eat gourmet food every night!

We live near Sarlat six months of the year, and these are some of our favorites:
1. Le Bistrot, more creative menu than some, always delicious and with very good service, just across from the front door to the Cathedral.
2. Le Presidial, top-end, beautiful terrace, excellent traditional menu.
3. Le Petit Manoir, Vietnamese-Perigordine fusion food (magret de canard with coriander and lemongrass, for example), beautiful historic manor house.
4. The little winebar/café at Hotel Le Couleuvrine
Have a wonderful time! Try everything!

As well as the ones mentioned by the previous poster, for a special do you might consider:
Restaurant Hotel de la Madeleine.Really good food and service at less than you might expect.
The Restaurant Gastronomique (part of the Hotel Couleyvrine),for the beautiful, cosy dining-room and ambiance.It%26#39;s literally a door across from the Bistro.
Have fun!

We had a wonderful dinner at Le Quatre Saisons, at the heart of Sarlat. Very romantic atmosphere, excellent food (terrine de fois-gras, magret de canard, uh la la), good wine, adequate prices.
Very nice walk in the old city after eating, all for yourselves to enjoy. We brought a card to help us find our way back there.
