We will be staying in Frejus this August and have been recommended to visit St Tropez by boat departing from St Raphael. Is that the best option and if so, what are the prices, times etc etc.
Many thanks

From Frejus Nicelife is absolutely right. The coast road all the way round is a nightmare and to avoid that is a ridiculous amount of driving. Let the boat take the strain.

There%26#39;s also bus service to St Tropez from St Raphael.
I took the bus to St Tropez and took the boat on the way back. IMO, it%26#39;s a tie for price/time, easily broken by weather conditions. August should be fine. The scenic value from the boat is better.

Sorry but did you take the bus in August? Other times of the year, except July, I would say go road one way and boat the other but anybody who has driven the coast road in August would say BOAT. 15 years in that area in August has taught me to avoid that road like the plague.

Many thanks everyone - especially Nicelife.
Is there also a boat trip from Frejus to St Tropez? There appears to be one from St Raphael to Frejus but I thought it bestter to ask than assume.
|||
The boats only go from Nice, Cannes, St Raphael and Ste Maxime.

JBart,
Good point. Nope. I only took the bus in September.
Good idea: avoid the bus in August. [read European vacation crowds!]
