Which is the best perfrume factory tour? At Golimard I have read that there is a special tour that allows you to create your own perfume. Has anyone done this? Any recommendations for Fragolnard or Molinard?

Fragonard is the nicest; most of the actual factories are outside Grasse, with just exhibits and salesrooms in the town itself. You can, however, have a perfume blended for you at Fragonard--there%26#39;s good free parking (and toilet facilities) just down the hill behind the showroom.
While you%26#39;re in Grasse, don%26#39;t miss the excellent Provençal folk museum, on the main street that runs down from the underground parking lot.

I forgot to add that the perfume museum, across the street from the rose garden atop the underground parking lot, is fascinating to visit. You can see the old copper equipment, a fascinating exhibit of perfume bottles (from ancient Egypt to the present day, with some beautiful ones from the major perfume houses), and a roof-top scent garden.

We went to Golimard but were too late to create our own perfume. It takes 2 hours for the chemists to mix it after you choose what you want. We were there at 3:20 pm and they said we were 20 min. late. I did buy some little cute bath oil things in the shape of animals, some fabulous room spray and a bottle of perfume. They we went to Fragonards right down the street and took the tour-very interesting and they do it (even in English) whenever people show up it appeared to me. It was Bastille Day, so no one was actually working in the labs but I did take pictures. Their shop downstairs is fabulous and I purchased 2 boxes that had small bottles of 10 different perfumes in them to bring back and give to my fellow teachers at school. They were thrilled. I also bought a bottle of perfume for me. When I was in Paris I spent 169 euro on their olive oil soap and their famous face cream to bring back for myself and others. Both are heavenly. The soap was 7 euros a bar and the bars are huge. I can already tell a difference in my skin after only 3 days. They have an American website and you can buy their products in NY I think, but they are more expensive of course.
