Beaune to Charles de Gaulle airport

We are ending our trip by driving from Beaune to the airport. I%26#39;m feeling very nervous about how much time this will take and what the best route into the airport is. If anyone has any suggestions on this topic I will be very grateful!

It is a good 5 to 6 hour drive. Go to Mapquest for directions

|||

What time is your flight?

|||

We drove from Montbeliard (which is further north of Beaune, but you would take the same autoroute) to CDG 3 weeks ago and it took us 6 hours with 2 stops. We found the instructions from viamichelin very helpful - we only missed 1 turn and we soon refound our way. Once you get within about 20kms from CDG it is extremely well sign posted and not at all difficult to get to - just make sure you know which terminal you are going to. We were there half an hour before we needed to be there to return the car as I had allowed plenty of time.

Our flight leaves at 2:50 PM.

|||

Maybe I drive faster than the rest of you but in 5.5 hours I can be all the way to Calais. Viamichelin has 4 hours without stops as it%26#39;s slowest route. So if you allowed 6 hours you should have no problems.

Thank you all very much for your help!

|||

Be aware that if you ended your trip in Dijon, there is a 6am train direct to CDG.

|||

I agree with Francophool, I would take the 6.30am TGV direct to CDG. or even another TGV to gare de Lyon if it is too early for you. (1h40 trip) All the traffic jams around and in Paris would drive me mad!

check www.voyages-sncf.com.

Bon voyage :-)

That sounds like a good option. Since our flight doesn%26#39;t leave till 2:50 maybe a later train to Gare de Lyon. Is there a train from there to the airport?

|||

just found that on another forum (I did it a long time ago and can%26#39;t remember what connections we took)

Taxi: 50-60 minutes and 45-60 euros, depending upon traffic.

Air France bus: 45-55 minutes and 12 euros. Buses run every 30 minutes.

RER: Cheapest (8.10 euros) and fastest (less than 50 minutes), but it requires schlepping your luggage and making one transfer. Trains leave about every ten minutes. Take the RER B to Chatelet Les Halles. Transfer to either the RER A or D and take it one stop to Gare de Lyon. Visit www.ratp.fr to download and print a Metro/RER map.

you%26#39;ll notice it is the other way round (from CDG to gare de Lyon :-) )
